14. Existing public offices of the Accountant-General and Internal Auditor- General On the commencement of this Act, the public service offices of the Accountant- General and the Internal Auditor-General established under the Government Financial Management Act (No. 5 of 2004) (now repealed) shall continue in existence as offices of the National Treasury established under section 11(2)(c) of this Act.

16. Existing debt limit Despite the repeal of the External Loans and Credit Act (Cap. 422) by this Act, the debt limit set by the National Assembly as in existence at the commencement of this Act, shall continue in effect until such time as the National Assembly sets another debt limit under section 50(2) of this Act. 123
